The plutocrat will be distributed under the Kenya Off- grid Solar Access Project and seeks to branch the private sector to invest in solar results and give clean lighting and cuisine results in counties that aren’t linked to the public grid.

The besieged counties are Marsabit, Taita Taveta, Lamu, Isiolo, Wajir, West Pokot, Turkana, Samburu, Mandera, Garissa, Tana River, Kilifi, Kwale, and Narok.

Kihalagwa, the Energy star Secretary, said that the design, which is modelled to support private sector players to establish feasible businesses in the underserved Counties, is an optimal option and a crucial plank in meeting our electrification pretensions throughout Kenya, so that no bone is left before.

The ministry of Energy says that at least 387 public installations will also be connected to electricity through the stage-alone solar systems in addition to retrofitting 380 water boreholes with solar- powered water pumps.

The enterprises join 20 enterprises dealing in solar and clean cuisine result providers who have been in operation in the named counties since June 2020. They’ve vended 96,000 solar home systems, connecting over 400,000 people to electricity.

The counties are considered part of marginalised Kenya and enterprises need further backing to connect wide homes, egging the government to roll out the RBF with World Bank. The government contracted the enterprises under a Results- Grounded Backing( RBF) model that offers impulses for the institutions to meet the set target.
