President Uhuru Kenyatta has explained why he chose former high minister Raila Odinga as his chosen relief just five days before Kenyans go to the pates to choose the country’s future administration.
Uhuru has been promoting his support for the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance presidential seeker, arguing that Raila is the ideal seeker to lead the nation after he leaves office at the end of his alternate term.
The Nation reported on Wednesday that Uhuru stated that he asked a crucial leader who could have defeated his deputy William Ruto and a leader who had Kenyans ’ stylish interests in mind while meeting with a group of county leaders from the Luo Nyanza counties on Tuesday night at the Kisumu State Lodge.

Because of his political experience, Uhuru told the leaders present that Raila was the stylish choice. According to Raila’s youngish family Ruth Odinga, the chairman also claimed to have converted Raila to leave politics.
Uhuru claimed that before deciding on Raila, he’d at least six campaigners under consideration, including Speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi, leader of the Wiper Democratic Movement party, Ukambani mogul Kalonzo Musyoka, and Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi.
Peter Kenneth, a former Gatanga MP, Fred Matiang ’ i, a former UNCTAD clerk general, and Mukhisa Kituyi are among the others on the list.
The chairman also conceded that, after opting Raila, he’d conversations with other leaders about supporting Raila, but some, including Mudavadi, withdrew.

There are rumors that Raila and his running companion Martha Karua were delayed in arranging their juggernauts in the final days before the deadline on Saturday, August 6, thus they were unfit to attend the regale.
