The former prime minister Raila Odinga and NARC Kenya party leader Martha Karua on Friday attended the azimio la umoja one Kenya alliance Parliamentary group meeting at Athi river, Machakos county.
During the meeting, Raila advised the members of parliament against decamping from their coalition.
He asked them to remain firm and defend the independence of the 13th Parliament.

However, as meeting progressed through to the end, the former president Uhuru Kenyatta who also doubles up as azimio chairman was conspicuously mising.
It’s worth noting that Uhuru was appointed recently by president William Ruto to serve as a peace envoy to great lakes region and Ethiopia.

It’s not clear whether Uhuru’s absence from the azimio event had anything to do with the new appointment.
Some Netizens who reacted online opined that Uhuru has already achieved what he wanted and hence he doesn’t need azimio anymore.
