Teachers living with disability in Kenya admit the TSC Disability Guide Allowance. This is to help them to perform their duties well without being disadvantaged in any way.
TSC expects all these preceptors to be registered with the National Council for Persons with Disability( NCPWD). Hence, the commission together with NCPWD determines the type, nature and degree of disability.
As a schoolteacher with special requirements, it’s important to note that you’re needed to do the following in order to be linked by the commission;
- Â Declare disability at the time of employment.
- Â Declare disability that occurs in the course of employment
- Â Register and gain a disability enrollment instrument from the NCPWD which shall be subordinated to scrutiny before acceptance
- Â Declare their disability status formerly registered by the NCPWD within a reasonable period respectable to the Commission which shall be determined from time to time.
The teachers Service Commission values equivalency and thus does try to promote it. preceptors living with disability across all grades admit the disability companion allowance to help them in their jobs. In addition, these preceptors are exempted from paying the Pay As You Earn( PAYE) Tax.
Primary academy preceptors are needed to have an entry grade of B5 while the secondary academy preceptors bear C1 and C2 for parchment and degree instrument holders independently.
