A 34- time-old man failed on Friday after he was trapped inside a boiler at an established sword manufacturing plant in Thika, Kiambu County.
Caleb Otieno, the 5th born in their family, who had been working at the boiler’s section was thawed, leaving family and fellow workers in unbelief and grief.
According to his family John Agwambo, Otieno who has worked at the company for at least seven times was performing his normal chores at the open boiler when the gloves he was wearing were stuck in one of the essence he was pushing into the boiler.
“ We were told that he might have tripped and fallen into the boiler and the body can not be set up since the temperatures are generally veritably high and the body is formerly refrigerated and thus we can not get anything indeed for the burial, ” Agwambo said.
The departed’s family questioned the report issued by the company saying a lot of riddle revolves around the exposure of their kin.
“ HR have told us to stay until Monday but so far we feel like they’re taking us in circles. We’ve tried to interrogate on a lot of effects but it seems they ’re hiding commodity. They ’re just telling us police examinations are underway, ” the family explained.
The family of Otieno now want the government to intermediate so that justice may beserved.They also prompted the government to conduct a crackdown on diligence to ascertain whether security enterprises for workers are upheld.
“The government should intermediate and apply the law on all companies to insure there’s safety. ”
