Changamwe Mombasa County police are looking into an incident in which a Form Four pupil smuggled a tear gas barrel into academy.
As per Changamwe Deputy County Commissioner Michael Yator, a pupil at St. Charles Lwanga Secondary school brought the teargas barrel to academy on Friday morning.
The child also progressed to play with the barrel in front of other scholars before it exploded, injuring five scholars, together with the bone
who had sneaked it in.
The scholars sustained minor injuries and are being handled at Bomu sanitarium, according to the deputy manager.
Meanwhile, investigators are looking towards where the pupil acquired the tear gas.
