Former Nairobi governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko was on Tuesday evening, August 9, whisked down by police officers after he was involved in a near fist fight with gregarious Mombasa Governor Hassan Ali Joho.
Sonko engaged in heated exchanges with both Joho and ODM’s Abdulswamad Nassir before police officers interposed. near crowds had gathered round the incident in order to witness the conflict among the politicians.

While addressing the media before being whisked down, Sonko reprobated that his rivals had tried to steal votes through using intimidation tactics.
“ They’re planning to steal votes, we’re done with similar intimidations, they wanted us to leave and we won’t be shaken, ” Sonko stated.
