All universities in the country have been prompted to launch parents portal to help in keeping track the academic performance and discipline of scholars.
Egerton University come the University in the country to launched a parent or guardians portal having pupil information to help in tracking their children’s performance.
The gate would also give frequent updates concerning events held in the seminaries.
Egerton University revealed that the web- grounded system will give parents and guardians with a channel for direct communication and support to their children while in academy.
According to Egerton UniversityVice-Chancellor Isaac Kibwage parents will be suitable to log in to the portal and see the progress of their children academically.
“ Parents will have access to scholars information and thus will be easy to cover how their children are doing and where there are issues and give us feedback, ” said Kibwage.
VC Kibwage added that the gate will insure an each-round commerce and insure scholars ’ progress as needed in their academic trip.
The parent gate will allow parents track learner’s academic performance and walk with their children in the academic trip. The gate will make information readily available to parents and guardians to keep them connected to the academic development of their son and son while in lot.
The parent gate will contain pivotal pupil information, adverts , streamlined news about the university and important university timetable dates including pupil enrollment details, admission figures and programmes.
In each semesters, parents will be suitable to pierce the academic progress of their children, transitions, academic results, tracking freights payment, and pupil discipline.
To pierce similar information, parent or guardians will be needed to register in the gate using a mobile number, Dispatch address, ID and the pupil’s enrollment number.
The perpetration of the university parents portal may be challenge considering that the maturity of scholars in the institutions are from humble backgrounds and their parents couldn’t have access to smartphones or the internet to pierce the gate.
