After the completion of the general elections on August 9, 2022, education ministry had to make fresh changes to the calendar.
Kenyan schools reopened on August 18, 2022, after being closed on August 2, 2022.
These changes are a contrast to the previous plan, which had the school calendar instructing students to have a half-term holiday from August 11 to August 14, 2022, and the earlier Reopening that was slated for August 11, 2022.
