MIXED REACTIONS AS MP SHOOTS HIMSELF DEAD IN CONGRESS.

 A high- ranking popular Member of Parliament from Malawi MP, Clement Chiwaya, has shot himself dead in an office in congress.

Former MP, Mr Chiwaya, who was a wheelchair stoner after he contracted polio at the age of two, served as deputy speaker between 2014 and 2019.

In a note he left shortly before the firing, he wrote about the disagreement he’d with administrative officers over the power of a especially acclimated vehicle.

After stepping down as deputy speaker he began a process to allow him to buy the auto handed by congress that enabled him to drive despite his disability.

He paid for the vehicle but he indicted congress of failing to transfer power. In a statement released after theex-MP’s death, the speaker’s office said that the matter was still in court.

Original media are reporting that Mr Chiwaya entered the office of the clerk of congress on Thursday and shot himself with the clerk watching.

In his note, he said he was tired of soliciting for what belonged to him and said he took his own life for fear of “ hurting others ”.

Mr Chiwaya, born in 1971, came a disability rights activist and successfully ran as an MP three times.

Police are now probing how he was suitable to enter congress, which is generally under heavy security, with a loaded dynamo. The speaker’s office said that security officers allowed that it was his wheelchair that touched off the essence sensors.
