CCTV retraces last moments; The footage indicated that the two were seen driving off in a mercedes to a destination not known.
The vehicle is next seen at local pharmacy in Imara Daima, where the Kenyatta University Master’s student alighted and seen buying medicine.
The police stated as of now they have established that the students was killed but they are yet to know the motive of the incident.
The police stated,”Detectives have analysed phone data, and they are piecing together more information to unravel the circumstances surrounding her death.
We already know she was murdered, what we want to establish is the motive behind her killing.”
The same night, the alleged lover is seen driving to Bungoma using the same Mercedes he used to pick up the students at her apartment in South B.
The detectives also established that he left the car in Bungoma and travelled back via a public service vehicle.
The sister to the deceased stated that when she was leaving, she informed her that she is going for a coffee date.
The sister narrated,”Her friends told us she informed them that she was going to meet a male friend, but did not disclose much more about it.”
The deceased’s body was found at Jamhuri Primary School. Preliminary reports indicating that she had several deep bruises that may have been inflicted by a sharp or blunt object.
Several suspects have been arrested including the alleged lover, interrogations from friends and samples from the mercedes have also been picked.
