Magoha, Cabinet Secretary for Education, has blazoned the functionary dates for Grade 6 scholars to choose Junior High Schools.
To be placed, all Grade 6 pupils must choose Junior High Schools once the Kenya National Examinations Council( KNEC) opens the point from August 15 to August 30.
CS Magoha said at a news conference on Friday, July 22, that1.27 million Grade 6 scholars would take the public test on November 28- 30.

These examinations will regard for 40 of the overall score, with academy- grounded tests in Grades 4, 5, and 6 account for the remaining 60.
According to CS Magoha,2.51 million children will begin secondary academy in January 2023.
Likewise, he claims that1.24 million children will begin high academy after passing the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education( KCPE) examinations, and1.27 million will complete sixth grade. KNEC has formerly released guidelines for the November Grade 6 test.

According to a communication transferred to academy heads by KNEC Chief Executive Officer David Njegere, campaigners would take a academy- Grounded Assessment( SBA) test in their home institutions, with the results assessed by their preceptors.
After the evaluation results are submitted to the portal, all learners will be allowed to register for the public test.
The scholars will latterly be given an assessment number, which is the same as the indicator number, to use when taking the KenyaInter-Mediate Level Education Assessment( KILEA).

All scholars will take five examinations Math and English on the first day, Integrated Science and Kiswahili on the alternate, and Creative trades and Social Studies on the third.
Seminaries will be anticipated to give learners with the accoutrements they need for the practical examinations, with KNEC pushing seminaries to ameliorate some of the tools they’ve available.
All preceptors will grade scholars ’ responses and assign grades, which will be posted to the KILEA gate before the KNEC deadline.
