Kenyatta University teacher Graduate blocked permanently from future TSC employments

 The preceptors Service Commission ( TSC) has blocked a Kenyatta University graduate from unborn tutoring employment by the Commission.

While other preceptors are attending reclamation interviews, the story of this schoolteacher is different because his fate is sealed for good.

The graduate has now turned to full- time peddler after the degree he pursued at the university was rejected by TSC in numerous reclamation interviews.

He failed to secure employment in numerous attempts with the preceptors Service Commission despite having a valid TSC number.

Abraham Maina, a schoolteacher by profession, graduated with a bachelorette’s degree in Education trades in 2008 with Geography and Mathematics as the tutoring subjects.

Since also, he has tutored in several seminaries including St Joseph High School in Kiambu and Ruiru Girls High School, under the Board of Management( BOM).

Maina also attained a TSC number with the expedients of getting a civil menial but his dream has noway materialized.

The reality of retirement came more apparent after being rejected in several job interviews, reason being he pursued the degree without having good grades.

Maina finished his secondary education in 2002, scoring B- in Mathematics and C plain in Geography, but couldn’t join university because of lack of freights owing to his poor family background.

Fortune came his way when well- provision showed up times latterly and promised to finance him to study for a degree, after which he enrolled at Kenyatta University where he graduated with a alternate class upper division.

Still, numerous times latterly, he was shocked to learn that for one to qualify to train as a schoolteacher, they must have scored at least a C + in every tutoring subject.

It’s this disclosure that forced Maina to come a peddler after losing stopgap in being a schoolteacher, despite the grim sweats he’d put to insure that he teaches secondary academy.

 Graduate Teachers

Aspirants must have a minimal mean grade of C +( plus) at KCSE and C + ( plus) in each of the two tutoring subjects or two( 2) Principles and one( 1) Subsidiary pass at ‘ A ’ level. In addition, they must have either

 a) A Bachelorette of Education Degree with two( 2) tutoring subjects or, 

 b) A Bachelorette of Science or arts Degree plus a Post Graduate Diploma in Education( PGDE) with two tutoring subjects or, 

 c) Bachelorette of Science with Education/ Bachelor of arts with Education with two tutoring subjects or, 

 d) Bachelorette of Science in Agricultural Education and Extension with two tutoring subjects.

 Aspirants with the following qualifications are also eligible; 

 

i) Parchment in Education Holders with a Mean Grade of C( Plain) and C( Plain) in the two tutoring subjects at KCSE and have accepted a Maids of Education Degree.

ii) Those who attained Mean Grade C( Plain) at KCSE and C( Plain) in the subjects of study at A-Level and attained at least 1 Principle and 2 Accessories for lores, 2 Principles and 1 Subsidiary for trades prior to bearing a Bachelorette of Education Degree.

 Diploma Teachers

Aspirants must have a minimal Mean Grade of C( Plus) at KCSE or its original with at least C( Plus) in the two tutoring subjects.
