Teachers Service Commission( TSC) plans to develop a data bank for canvassed preceptors for secondary seminaries which will guide the Commission to replace preceptors who’ll exit the service within the2022/2023 Financial Year.
From the list of five( 5) shortlisted and canvassed campaigners per vacancy in every secondary academy in the country, the School Selection panel which is the Board of Management will be needed to develop a vacancy specific merit list.
In the guidelines for reclamation ofpost-primary preceptors on endless and pensionable terms outlined under indirectNo.9/2022 dated June 30, 2022 released by the Commission’s Secretary and Chief Executive Officer( CEO)Dr. Nancy Macharia, the merit list shall be used in TSC posterior and analogous replenishments in the Country.

“ The Merit List shall be used in the posterior reclamation processes involving a analogous vacancy in the County within the fiscal time or as directed by the Commission from time to time, ” said Dr. Macharia in the indirect.

According to the guidelines after developing the vacancy specific merit list, the academy selection panels shall be needed to submit the list to TSCSub-County Directors, who’ll submit the list for compendium of subjects specific merit list to the County Directors to induce a databank for the County, which shall be used to fill subject specific vacuities in posterior reclamation processes within the FY.
The names in the School selection panel’s vacancy specific merit list which is used to develop subjects specific merit list data bank is deduced from the five( 5) shortlisted aspirants for every vacancy announced, which was generated from TSC system generated aspirant’s list.
The TSC County Director shall also be needed to further the subject specific merit list to the Regional Director who’ll collect the Regional subject specific merit lists for onward submission to TSC Director Staffing at the Headquarters.
“ This data bank of canvassed campaigners shall be used to replace those exiting service within the Financial Year. The subject specific data bank shall be used to fill vacuities arising from the County, Region and nationally within the Financial Year, ” said Dr. Macharia in the indirect.

The Commission notes farther that where campaigners are exhausted from the subject specific County data bank, relief shall be done using the Regional data bank; and where campaigners are exhausted within a region, vacuities shall be filled using the Subject Specific National data bank.
