Former MCA jugged for 4 years for forging KCSE certificate

 Robert Kibe Githongo, the immediate former MCA for Kiamwangi Ward, was charged with making a false KCSE instrument purporting it to be a genuine instrument issued by KNEC.

He was also charged with uttering the fake KCSE instrument on December 29, 2014, at JKUAT.

A former member of the Kiambu County Assembly has been jugged for two times for forging an academic instrument.

Appearing before the MilimaniAnti-Corruption Court on Monday, Robert Kibe Githongo, the former MCA for Kiamwangi Ward was charged with making a false KCSE instrument purporting it to be a genuine instrument issued by Kenya National Examination Council.

Githongo was also charged with uttering the fake KCSE instrument on December 29, 2014, at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, purporting it to be a genuine instrument from the test body.

Kibe was condemned for two offences; making a false document negative to section 347( a) as read with section 349 of the Penal Code, and uttering a false document negative to section 353 of the Penal Code.

The former MCA was doomed to four times in captivity or pay a forfeiture of Ksh.250, 000 – Ksh.500, 000 for each offence.
