According to the brother, Waweru rubbed shoulders with the driver on Saturday evening, a fight that escalated up to Sunday morning. From there, they didn’t know what happened.

Daniel ‘s brother stated,”My brother had a commotion with the driver whom they were working with on Saturday night, and then the commotion extended to the following morning, that was on Sunday, which nobody knows how it ended.”

“We do not have the evidence to clarify whether he was pushed or kicked out or jumped on his own or was knocked down by a vehicle,” he added.

On her part, Mary Wangui the mother of the deceased, stated that she spoke with the son on Saturday evening, where he confirmed that everything was okay.

She narrated,”He left here (Sabasaba) on Friday for Nairobi, where he worked three times a week as a tout with Lopha Sacco.”

“On Saturday evening, he called me and told me that all was okay and that he would return home after his shift ended. That was the last time I heard from him,”she added.

Ruiru Sub-County Police Commander, Alex Shikondi, has now pleaded with eye witnesses who saw what happened, to come forward and shed light on this mystery even as they wait for post mortem results.

He stated,”We still haven’t tracked an eye witness who saw the accident occur, but we have opened the file, and we are urging the members of the public to record statements.”
